Rot und Weiss, getarnte Absperrung. Slide projection, 2022
The installation was created as part of the exhibition Achtung, Baustelle! at KunstWerk, Cologne.
Concept: The KunstWerk building has been surrounded by construction work for years. I photographed the recurring patterns of the barrier tape. These motifs were then transferred to slides and processed using various tools and materials (scratching, collage, painting, etc.). Projected onto a wall in large format, they take on a new dimension, reminiscent of church windows and question our relationship to architecture and the changes to our living spaces.

A pigeon feather buzzes in the wind. Caught in a barely visible spider's web, it seems to float in space and time. City Bird is a video installation that invites the viewer to pay attention to the small and inconspicuous by giving it a poetic and dreamlike value.
Documentation of Strates at Les nuits des bassins 2016 in Arras, France.
Sound design by Kabelton (Gerald Schauder).
The video was specially designed to be projected onto the façade of a former factory. This work plays with elements of the present and the past associated with this old factory: Ivy, brick wall, metallic structures and phantom workers come together.
